Buyer Policy – Renew By using Renew as a buyer, you agree to the following terms: ⸻ 1. Nature of the Platform Renew is an online marketplace that connects buyers and sellers. Renew does not own, inspect, store, or sell any of the items listed on the platform. All items are sold directly by individual sellers. Renew is not responsible for the condition, quality, safety, or legality of items beyond enforcing platform policies. ⸻ 2. Buyer Responsibility Before Purchase Buyers are responsible for carefully reviewing: • Item descriptions • Photos • Prices • Seller-provided information Questions about an item should be asked through the Q&A section prior to purchase. Direct chat with the seller becomes available only after the purchase has been completed. By completing a purchase, the buyer confirms that they have reviewed the listing details. ⸻ 3. Platform Payments Only Payments must be made exclusively through Renew’s secure payment system. Buyers agree not to: • Arrange payments outside the platform • Attempt to bypass Renew’s system • Complete transactions privately to avoid platform fees Transactions completed outside Renew are not covered by buyer protection and may result in account suspension. ⸻ 4. Delivery & Handover Once a purchase is completed: • The buyer and seller may communicate through Renew chat to arrange delivery or pickup. • Unless otherwise agreed, the buyer is responsible for arranging pickup. • Renew does not provide transportation services and is not responsible for delivery logistics, delays, or damages occurring during handover. ⸻ 5. OTP Confirmation & 24-Hour Review Window At the time of handover: • The buyer must confirm receipt using the OTP provided by Renew. • OTP should only be shared after physically receiving the item. After OTP confirmation: • The buyer has 24 hours to inspect the item. • Any issue must be reported using the “Report an Issue” feature within 24 hours. If no issue is reported within 24 hours, the transaction is automatically completed and funds are released to the seller. ⸻ 6. Refunds & Disputes Refund eligibility is limited to cases where: • The item significantly differs from its description • The wrong item was delivered • A major defect was not disclosed Refunds will not be granted for: • Change of mind • Minor wear consistent with pre-loved items • Issues clearly disclosed in the listing In the event of an approved return: • The buyer is responsible for arranging the return of the item. • The buyer shall bear all return-related costs, including transportation or delivery fees, unless otherwise determined by Renew at its sole discretion. Renew may assist in dispute resolution but reserves the right to make the final decision at its sole discretion, subject to applicable law. ⸻ 7. Buyer Conduct Buyers agree to: • Communicate respectfully • Act honestly and in good faith • Not misuse the “Report an Issue” feature • Not engage in fraudulent activity Abuse of the platform may result in account suspension or permanent removal. ⸻ 8. Legal Use Buyers agree to use Renew lawfully and in compliance with applicable Qatari laws and regulations. ⸻ 9. Limitation of Liability Renew operates solely as a marketplace platform. Renew shall not be liable for disputes, losses, damages, or claims arising from transactions between buyers and sellers beyond its role in facilitating payments and enforcing platform policies.
